The
important frequenting of the Tourism Office, the friendly welcome
and the answers you will find there, really show the tourist
vocation of Douvres-la-Délivrande – Tailleville, combining the
proximity of the sea and the quietness of the countryside.
European
Heritage’s Days keep being successfull and tourists have a real
interest to visit our village : its church (12th century,
National Trust), the Basilica with its old pilgrimage at Notre-Dame
de la Délivrande and the Museum of Virgin’s Clothing, “la Baronnie”
created at the 11th century and also classed National
Trust, the old court, the front of “la Maîtrise” and the porches you
can enjoy having a walk in the different streets, ways and pathes of
our village.
Do not
miss the Radar Museum which is an important World War 2 site with
the British Cemetery, the Lesage’s chemist, and the René Lalique’s
work in Notre-Dame de Fidélité’s chapel.
Proud of
its heritage, our tiny town is definitely turned towards the future.
It has been able to expand and also keep its village’s cohesion.
